Sex Workers

We offer a space where sex workers are met with respect, understanding, and care.

No one should feel shame or judgment for the kind of work they do. Too often, society makes unfair assumptions about people in the sex industry. We challenge that stigma. Here, you are seen as a whole person, not reduced to labels, choices, or assumptions.

A space free from judgment

Many sex workers describe feeling excluded or misunderstood, even by health professionals who are meant to support them. At Collective Hope Therapy, our intention is to create a space that feels safe, comfortable, and real. There is no topic that is off limits, and nothing you can say will shock us. You can talk openly about your work, relationships, identity, or life outside of work without fear of judgment. Sessions are relaxed and human, and you are welcome to take off your shoes, hold a weighted blanket, or simply settle in and talk freely.

Understanding your world

We have supported clients across many areas of sex work, including sugaring, brothel work, online work, naked waitressing, and specialist areas like domination. Every person’s experience is different, and for many, sex work provides autonomy, flexibility, and independence that other jobs cannot. For some neurodivergent clients, this freedom and structure feel particularly supportive.

We also understand the complex emotional terrain that can come with this work, such as navigating performance versus authenticity, managing relationships, setting boundaries, and dealing with family or partners who may not be supportive. We bring warmth, calmness, and practical skill to help you explore these areas at your own pace.

Beyond the stereotypes

We work from a trauma-informed and affirming perspective, recognising that healing does not mean leaving your work, but rather feeling safe and supported within yourself and your life.

Therapy can help you strengthen boundaries, improve self-esteem, and build more stable and fulfilling connections. It can also be a space to explore what you want next, whether that means continuing in your current work, shifting toward something new, or finding more ease in how you show up in the world.

At Collective Hope Therapy, you will find acceptance, curiosity, and genuine care. Whatever brings you here, you will be met with understanding, not judgment, and the support to move toward a life that feels authentic and your own.

There isn't a judgemental bone in Prue’s body, she's so compassionate and empathetic.

Prue's client shares her story...

I started therapy when I was in a really dark and unhealthy place in my life. I was doing a lot of risk-taking behaviours and was deeply unhappy, unhealthy and very suicidal.

Prue has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere about her! I was very quickly made comfortable with cushions, drinks, fidget toys, etc, before we started, and when we did, I found Prue to be extremely easy to open up to, as she's so non-judgemental. I have always found I can talk to Prue about literally anything, which is really helpful as a SW!

My life has changed a lot since I started therapy, I'm in a much stabler place both mentally and physically. I have developed strategies to ground myself when heightened. I no longer experience extreme mania or depression. I have dealt with a lot of my trauma and substance abuse, recovered from an eating disorder and am generally just much happier.

I honestly cannot recommend Prue highly enough; she's an incredible therapist. She's extremely well-informed and well-connected. There isn't a judgemental bone in Prue’s body, she's so compassionate and empathetic. I have honestly improved so much under Prue’s care. I have honestly thrown so much at Prue over our time together, and she never baulks, just helps me pick up the pieces with her never-ending helpful suggestions and strategies! As a queer sex worker, I've never been so validated by anyone.
